of Indianapolis culture, presenting the news in an
"alternative" format. None of them seems to be from
Indianapolis, but somehow that doesn't matter to anyone...

Don't get me wrong. They're amusing and quirky
and light at 8 'o clock in the morning. I like them...
They're self-proclaimed insane people who are all
good-looking and make shit seem fun and interesting.

They serve up neat little consumable bites of
information. Just enough for us to handle. Not
that local TV newscasters ever give us any hard news.
It all comes out nice and easy and soft. They're just
puppets controlled by their advertisers. But what do
I care? I never know what to believe these days anyway,
yet I somehow end up believing it all. Accurate or
inaccurate. Fabricated or not. It doesn't matter whether
the information I absorb was from something I read on a
random web page or saw on Dateline. My confused, apathetic
20-something brain is so easily contaminated by shit...

I'm just sitting there eating my cereal. Talk of
Indianapolis' out of control sewers goes in one ear
and out the other. No rain in months. Polluted shit
just stuck down there. Collecting poisonous waste.
Rotting. And Stinking. And Pulsating. Mother Nature
waiting for the perfect time to send rain. Rain that'll
shoot the shit right down the highly contaminated
White River onto somebody else's town while the town
just ahead of us shoots their shit onto us. The buildup
of all the years of neglecting shit is finally coming
to a head. Now we must do something about it before
it explodes! Now! Higher taxes. Or utility bills. I'm not
sure which. I have no idea where it all goes. All the money.
All the shit. All the shit that we pay for and the shit
that we don't. Until it's a shit pie in our faces.
